The Shenandoah Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce this week's opening of both the 148-room Hyatt House extended-stay hotel, as well as the 120-room EVEN Hotel by IHG.
With the opening of the city's new 116-room Aloft Hotel in January, that brings three new hotel accommodation options to folks looking to travel to the North Houston area. One of the most exciting things about these properties collective opening here are that they are all new brands and options for the North Houston area. With the opening of these three properties, the city now has 1,305 room available for business and leisure travelers to enjoy, whether enjoying a quick overnight, weekend getaway or extended stay.
When the Aloft Shenandoah opened in January, it became the fourth of its brand to open in the greater Houston area and the only one in the North Houston area (the other three properties are located in the downtown, Galleria and Katy's Energy Corridor). Likewise, this week's opening of both the Hyatt House and EVEN hotels, provide new options for those searching for accommodations in our North Houston area.
The new Hyatt House Shenandoah extended stay hotel is the flag's newest version, and just the third of its type to be located in the greater Houston area (the other two being in downtown and Katy's Energy Corridor). Its focus is to provide its guests with the comforts of home, similar to what they would find in an upscale apartment community, where guests can continue their work and personal routines. Located in the city's Metropark Square, Shenandoah's largest mixed-use development, guests will have a variety of dining and entertainment options right outside their doors, whether "treasure hunting" among its discount and retail shops, exploring its variety of dining options (Black Bear Diner, Dave & Buster's, EAD or Top Sushi), catching a flick at the state-of-the-art AMC Theatres or enjoying Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park with the kids.
Finally, the EVEN Hotel Shenandoah by IHG, is the first of its brand to open in Texas -- it's unique focus is on wellness, and it provides a variety of healthy eating options at its Cork and Kale restaurant, along with a state-of-the-art fitness studio, along with fitness balls, yoga mats and light hand weights and elevated fitness equipment that can be used by its guests in-room, to provide both athletes and those trying to stay focused on their healthy lifestyle with a number of options to keep their exercise and eating "on track." Other unique features and amenities include both sitting and standing workspaces in each guest room, and the property features a great outdoor area with pool and sitting area for guest to enjoy.
