[ARCHIVED] 2022 David's Dream Run marks another year of success

On a beautiful April morning, hundreds of residents and visitors showed up to participate in the 2022 David's Dream Run 5K and 1 mile run/walk event honoring the life and memory of Shenandoah's David Vetter, while also providing financial support to the good work being done at The David Center at Texas Children's Hospital.

After some brief welcome remarks from Shenandoah Mayor, Ritch Wheeler, as well as representatives from David's family, Conroe ISD, and Texas Children's Hospital, the race got off without a hitch at 8 am, and the 5K began at 8:30 am, as scheduled.  School children and parents from David Elementary were out in force, along with other area residents, visitors and runners from around the state.  To date, this run has raised more than $550K to support the David Center and families struggling with a variety of medical conditions.

It was a wonderful day and occasion to see a wonderful illustration of a community coming together to do good, and just one example of what makes Shenadoah, TX, such a great place to live, work and visit.
